Welsh singing icon Tom Jones has been spotted enjoying a night out with famous pals in a rare night out. The 85-year-old Treforest star was pictured with BBC2 boogie-woogie maestro Jools Holland and Simply Red singer, Mick Hucknall.

Hollands, who’s welcomed the lifelong performer onto his late-night live music show, Live With… many times over the years shared the image of the three men on Instagram with the caption ” Enjoyable dinner with @realsirtomjones and @hucknall.m.” The trio rack up almost 150 years in the music business combined.

Sir Tom alone has sold over 100m records with 36 top 40 hits, Hucknall’s Simply Red’s racked up around 60million and TV host Jools Holland’s done alright too, with he and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra collaborating with huge artists, including Tom, over the years.

Tom’s rarely pictured outside of performing or public appearances so fans really enjoyed seeing the still-gigging singer getting some down time. One fan wrote: “Legends,” while many called for the three to gig together: “Oh, what a reunion, please do a concert together!”

Another said: “That’s a show I’d love to see.” From superstar gigs to cosy pubs, find out What’s On in Wales by signing up to our newsletter here.

Fans of Tom will be able to see him live in 2026, so there’s no worries there. The Treforest-born singer is performing just over the Welsh border at Chester Racecourse in August – more on that date here – and now he’s added a date at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 5.

He’s also playing in Belfast, Scarborough and more in summer 2026, but with no Welsh date announced, fans might have to travel. If you’re after a ticket for Tom Jones’ summer gigs, click here and visit Ticketmaster.
